TIM PETTITT
Mr. Pettitt focuses his practice on helping people and families who are injured by the carelessness of others. He has represented individuals in automobile, motorcycle, and bicycle crashes, trip/slip and fall accidents, dog bites, and other accidents. He also selectively practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and in family law assisting people with divorce and related disputes.
Mr. Pettitt does not believe in a “take a number” approach with his clients. He enjoys getting to know each client and considers it an honor to help people when they have been harmed and are most vulnerable. He has observed the devastating effects that significant personal injuries can have on individuals, families, and careers.
Mr. Pettitt takes an interest in understanding the medicine—the treatment indicated for each injury. He works to ensure the most efficient and advantageous resolution to each case, which is why he will litigate cases when needed. He has obtained favorable settlements, arbitration awards, and trial verdicts for his clients. He has also briefed cases on appeal with the Utah Supreme Court.
Mr. Pettitt grew up in New Jersey. He graduated from Brigham Young University and the Western New England University School of Law.
Mr. Pettitt is admitted to practice in Utah State and Federal Courts. He has been a member of the Utah Association for Justice, American Associate for Justice, and other professional organizations.
In his free time, Mr. Pettitt enjoys spending as much time as possible with his beautiful wife and his four sons. He also enjoys playing guitar, spending time outdoors, and all things baseball.
